What to look at next
How it works
- Choose your insurance company. The list opens already narrowed to Kolkata. Pick your insurer from the first dropdown.
- Search or browse. Type part of a hospital's name to find it quickly, or page through the list. You can also change the city or state.
- Confirm before you are admitted. Hospital networks change. Call your insurer or check its official locator, and ask the hospital's insurance desk, before a planned admission.
Questions people ask
How do I find cashless hospitals in Kolkata for my plan?
Choose your insurance company in the finder on this page. It shows the network hospitals we hold for that insurer in Kolkata, and you can search by hospital name. Because each insurer has its own network, a hospital that is cashless for one insurer may not be for another.
What does cashless treatment mean?
At a network hospital the insurer pays the hospital directly for the covered part of your bill, so you do not have to pay it first and claim it back. You still pay for anything the policy does not cover, such as non-payable items, a co-payment or the amount above your room rent limit.
Is a hospital in the list guaranteed to be cashless for me?
No. Network lists are published by insurers and their third-party administrators and change over time, and cashless approval also depends on your policy terms and the treatment. Treat the list as a starting point and confirm with your insurer before admission.
What if I am admitted in an emergency?
Insurers typically ask you to inform them within a day of an emergency admission so they can approve cashless treatment. If the hospital is not on the network or approval is refused, you can usually pay and claim a reimbursement later with the bills and reports. Check your policy for the exact time limit.
What about a planned surgery?
Ask the hospital's insurance desk to send a pre-authorisation request to your insurer a few days before the admission, so the approval is in place when you are admitted.
A hospital I know in Kolkata is missing. Why?
Our lists come from insurer and network disclosures, which can lag behind changes, and some hospitals are listed under slightly different names. If it is missing, try the hospital-name search or the search by TPA network on the insurance page, and ask your insurer directly.
