Different question?
FinResp analyses. You decide. This is information only, not investment advice or a recommendation of any fund. Figures come from the AMFI daily NAV history (Direct plan, Growth option); each instalment is taken at the NAV of the first trading days of the month. Past returns do not guarantee future ones. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme related documents carefully.

How it works, questions and more tools
How it works
- Find a fund. Type part of its name. We list Direct plan, Growth option funds from the AMFI records.
- Enter a monthly amount and a time. For example ₹10,000 a month for 5 years.
- Read what happened. You see the most recent SIP of that length, then the same SIP started in every month the fund's history allows.
- Check the start year. The bars show how much the year you started changed the result.
Questions people ask
Is this a ranking of the best funds?
No. We show what happened in one fund you choose, for a SIP you choose. We do not rank or recommend funds, and the funds listed are only those in our AMFI records.
Where does the fund data come from?
From the daily NAV (net asset value) published by AMFI, the association of mutual funds in India. We use Direct plan, Growth option, open-ended funds, and clean obvious errors such as a wrong NAV on a single day.
How is the SIP return worked out?
Each month's instalment buys units at the NAV of the first trading days of that month. At the end, the units are valued at the NAV then. The yearly return is the single yearly rate that turns those instalments into that final value.
Why does the start month change the result so much?
Markets rise and fall, so the same SIP started a few months apart can meet very different prices. That is why we show every start month, not one. The bars show it by year.
Why are some funds missing?
We only have funds that exist today. Funds that were closed or merged are not here, which makes the funds shown look better, on average, than everything that was available in the past. Some very new funds do not yet have enough history.
Does this include taxes and charges?
The NAV is already after the fund's running costs. We do not include exit loads, taxes on gains, or any difference between the Direct and a Regular plan.
Can I rely on past returns?
No. Past returns do not guarantee future ones. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme related documents carefully.
