Incorporated 2 May 2001 as a joint venture between Bajaj Finserv and Germany's Allianz SE. In 2025, Bajaj Finserv acquired Allianz's stake for ₹13,780 crore (~$1.4B); by January 2026 Allianz had fully exited, taking the Bajaj Group's holding to roughly 97%.
