Founded in 2000 as Reliance General Insurance, part of Reliance Capital (a Hinduja Group company today). Following Reliance Capital's insolvency resolution, IRDAI approved the transfer of its insurance subsidiaries to Hinduja Group's Aasia Enterprises in May 2023, and the company was renamed IndusInd General Insurance shortly after.
